My journey is drawing near, so near...
More of You, less of me... less of my hopes, my expectations, my plans,
my
future, my mate...focus is on You, not on me.. though there's hope,
help me
to get by alone with you... my peace of mind, my endless
thoughts...help me
to have a deep sleep - deep slumber of emotions...and journey onward
with
You with joy and gladness...
Though darkness engulf, I will cling to your light as my shield and
guide
along my rocky path..Help me Oh Lord not to stumble in the human
desires I
long for...Guide my heart Oh Lord, for it is a single's weakness...lead
me
to the path of obedience...let me be victorious on the trials ahead of
me...
keep me moving on to the path you have planned for me -- show me Your
ways
Oh Lord.
May I be a servant worthy to be in your footstool. Your strength will
renew
me like an eagle, refresh my soul like a morning dew.
Your comfort and love will fill my empty part, my lonely state... it
will
sustain me as I move alone with You.
I am scared Oh Lord of what the future brings, excited at the same
time...thank You for your assurance and unconditional love and
appreciation
to your daughter.
An ordinary girl, shaped to your extra-ordinary vision...
I know you make impossible things possible, though I can't see how
things
will be...but Your word is so true, that I should put my faith and hold
on
to that promise...
the promise You have placed in the depths of my mind and in my soul..
but
for now, I have to move on and obey, not to look back, but to go on...
Though things may not be what I will expect, help me Oh Lord to accept
things as it comes. Your ways are better than mine...
Guide me Oh Lord in every step I take...if I need to walk or run, if I
need
stay or leave...If your gift is marriage or singleness...it is indeed a
gift, it shouldn't be demanded upon... You do know the needs of your
children. Only You can satisfy my soul, like a sheep that thirsts for
water...
I pray for a humble heart, an enduring spirit, a compassionate soul,
joyful
aura and the boldness of salvation.
As we move on this journey together, I believe in your promises,
blessings
do come after obedience, you shall provide all our needs wherever we go
Help me Oh Lord to focus on You and less in Your hands... more of You,
as
King, as we do things for Your kingdom..
To God be the Glory in all things I do
Amen.

Vegetable Salad ... must read!
Grace 1, Grace 2, Ianne, Carol, Lynette, Tess, Alan, Mike, Romy and Mon, a motley bunch of professionals brought together by the love of God and the eagerness to serve God in return. Similar in many aspects and yet peculiar like some sort of vegetable salad with each ingredient different from the rest and yet essential for the recipe that at first sight is enough to excite the salivary glands to a profuse secretion.
Grace 1 is the singkamas. Simple and silent with a hue that doesn’t stand out in the array of ingredients, yet heavy with an accent, which you can translate into a different language, and when indulged is light on the stomach.
Grace 2 is the opposite for her namesake in at least one aspect, which is that you see her busy in many places in a given time. Something like a sprinkle of sweet corn on the recipe. She may be sweet to the taste and sight yet easily spilled if you are not careful in handling her.
Ianne may be considered the bright red tomatoes that never lose their smile in whatever situation they may be in. Diced, thin slices or served whole they are versatile and available for any recipe like the lyrics of a song that come straight from her memory.
Carol is that attractive carrot, short and plump or slender strips or shred her into a fine lot and she is well liked even by gourmets who are very discriminating in taste.
Tess is the lettuce, crisp and tender and comes in many hues ranging from a pale green to the rich dark green and violacious variety. She is quick to respond to issues like the leaves that are crispy and smart when served chilled.
Lynette is the cucumber. Some sort of busy and industrious vegetable with usefulness for not only salads but also to ease tired eyes and inflamed tissues. She is quick to laugh and is amiable, and can be served in thin slices, chunks or in long strips.
Alan is the cauliflower. A bright and easy standout among the vegetables, which is well liked by most female diners. Blemishes on the white skin are easily detected and concealed for a perfect entrée.
Mike is the sweet white onion and is a very versatile ingredient. It has a tang that plays on your taste buds like the vibrations of the guitar strings with unorthodox chords. It has a potential as an alternative source of energy, which the DOST is at the verge of discovering.
Romy is the bell pepper. Some sort of strong taste with the tendency to attract foreign diners. Crocodiles and other reptiles also find this ingredient as top in their list of meal priorities.
Mon is the dressing. A true mixer and blender of tastes, which comes as A Thousand Islands, Vinaigrette, Italian, Caesar’s or the simple mayo and ketchup mix. Too much indulgence can raise your blood pressure or add weight to your already bulging stomach.
Imagine a bowl of this salad in heaven’s great banqueting table. Visualize the beauty of this attractive mixture, which the Great Chef has concocted and labeled as ACM-NCR Batch 18. Imagine the large multitude that is waiting to feast on it and hear them declare that indeed it is one of Gods greatest recipes.
They may be a group of missionaries alright, as they may see themselves to be. But to me as their friend and coworker in God’s great mess hall, I will always remember them as God’s most wonderful and tasty vegetable salad.
